Install it correctly, and this amp is awesome!!!!!!!
By Ken Sweet
I read lots of reviews before purchasing this amp. The reviews were very mixed. I'll tell you how to make this amp rock.... First of all, they say this should be wired with 4/8 awg power wire. Use 4 awg!!! This amp draws alot of power, and you will burn up the power supply if there is not enough current to the amp.
Second of all I read that this amp gets hot and shuts down. Put it in a well ventilated area. I drove around for 2 hours with the amp cranked before it got hot enough to shut down. Even then it shut down for 10 seconds and came back on. Put a fan on the amp, and you won't have any problems.
Third thing is I'm running a 1 farad capacitor. The voltage never drops below 13 volts. I very much recommed running a capacitor as this will hold steady voltage to the power supply of the amp. I've been running Lanzar amps for 20 years, and the experience I've had are the power supplies are very touchy. Keep the power supply happy by running 4 awg wire and enough voltage feeding the amp.
Fourth bullet point is for these people who run the amp at too low of an impedance. This amp is rated at 4 ohms mono and 2 ohms stereo. I'm running one 4 ohm 12" sub in mono which the amp sees as a 4 ohm load. Do not run two 4 ohm subs mono as this will give you a 2 ohm load and burn the amp up.
I hope this review has been helpful. As I said if you install it correctly, this amp will pound!!!! I'm guessing all of these people who have had bad luck with these did not install them correctly.

WOW
By FrankG
I bought this amp and for the cost the first thing I said was no way,and what name brand is this? I gotta say the price is an insult to the product, the amp supplies so much crisp power, I have it hooked up to a 1500watt sub woofer and it just cranks, Real happy with it.

Unreliable
By Earl McGinnis
Thank God it happen right before my 30day return window. The amplifier actually performed pretty good. I did some research and decided to install 4 fans inside the amplifier because of the heat problems. Rated for 2ohm stability however it blew the 40 amp internal fuse twice, 2 days ago. Long story short 2 ohm UNSTABLE! UPS p/u today and now Im waiting for an Audiopipe APMS 1300 and see how that goes.
