*Update: It broke in half at the arm/rod section about 1 month ago...prior to that it had been wobbly and would sink down from the initial upward angle so it was likely already breaking about 2 months before it broke in half..well it had a good run. Nearly a year of usage for 5 bucks isn't bad* This is my first glass-mounted holder, and I like it. It was slimmer/lower-profile than I thought it would be, and the cushioning was thicker than I anticipated. The bendable rod part is very rigid, which is good for stability. And the suction part is strong. This does make an annoying plastic jiggling against plastic sound when its empty..but you can always just remove it from the glass. To changed the width of it vertically, there is a little plastic button that you press in which makes the 2 arms spring outward. It did not open wide enough for my phone to fit horizontally...BUT that's okay because this holder does 360 turns/clicks. So, I put my phone in vertically, then just swivel the holder. Its okay to do because the arms squeeze tight. Next, I faced the issue of it clicking out of place due to weight of the phone, when I had the phone horizontal for navigation. But there was a built-in fix for that as well! I looked at the back of the product, and saw a tiny pushable thing that goes into a notch, stopping the holder from being able to rotate. One other note: The outer shell of the rod was slightly down/slipped out of place when I first opened the package...in tact lengthwise but not secured under the wider black section that it slips into above the suction. *Hard to explain without you seeing it, but i tried*. It doesnt seem to have any affect on the usability of the holder.
Great product, especially for the price. It arrived about 2 days after I placed the order!

Functional for the price

I ordered this product to replace my older mount I was using that broke. This unit was very inexpensive and I didn't expect to much from it. It's fine and works well enough even if it is a bit clunky. I was expecting it to come with the vent mounts but it did not, though there are slots in the back to use if you already have them. The suction cup works well enough and the flex arm is sturdy thought the length is not adjustable. If you are selecting this item based on price, remember not to expect too much and it may meet your needs. It does fit the iPhone and iTouch well enough and allows connections through the bottom.

Bad Suction Cup

This holder came with a suction cup that was warped and permanently out of shape. After attaching it to the windshield the cup stays in place for a day or two and then falls off and you have to reattach it. Slightly moistening the cup before attaching it does help but only for a day extra to stay in place. Also, the arm is too long and a bit loose at the base, making the cell phone swinging while driving. So basically it is useless holder. Do not buy it.
