Firestik II antenna easy to tune

I installed a 4' Firestik II antenna on a Firestik door jamb mount. I also installed Firestik's HD spring and quick disconnect and used Firestik's 18' Fire-ring cable. The install went great and tuning couldn't be simpler. The tunable tip was so simple to adjust. I had it tuned to 1.1-1.2 SWR within 5 minutes. The 4' Firestik is about 49" out of the box and the spring and quick disconnect each add 3", so you end up with a height of 55" above the mount. The antenna looks great, easy to tune, and works fine....what more could you want. This was my first CB install since the 1970s and it was so easy I think I'll install another in my second vehicle. I can highly recommend using not only the Firestik antenna but also the associated Firestik accessories including the stainless steel mounts, spring, quick disconnect (really slick) and Fire Ring cable(makes a real low profile install on the mount). Note: if you use the Fire Ring cable you want to order the LUG mount instead of the PL-259 mount.

FireStik antenna II

After 20 years, I got back into CB radios mainly because my new radio receives weather channels also. Weather is becomeing an issue in the southwest as well as in other areas who did not have tornados before. I travel in an RV and want to keep up with the weather in the spring especially. I have ordered several items made by FireStik and they are first rate and most important they are made in the USA. Yes I said the USA, NOT China. ALWAYS buy products made here when you have a choice, they are better and you support America, NOT a foreign country. Thank you FireStik.
