Why oh why does it shake so much?!?
By Dockelektro
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3UEM45EHH2T2 Well, I bought this together with my Go Pro Hero 3 with the objective of getting some really cool shots from a moving vehicle. I tested it on various points outside of the car and all the time what I got was constantly shaking and bobbing footage, which added to the "jellow" effect that a GoPro produces when it shakes, rendered the footage unusable. I went and drove in a really smooth road and all the time the camera just shakes like crazy. The suction cup is really really good and sticks really really well, but the arm where the camera is attached to is a design flaw, since it has a ball-like end which is never really still. I've witnessed footage from other suction cup mounts and I really regret having bought this one. I am uploading a clip of the road test I've done. The footage on top of the car roof is where the horizontal tilting is more evident.
Will try it some more times one even more smooth roads, but I guess it's not good for filming on the outside of a car. If I'm doing something wrong with it or if there is any way to improve my footage, I would really like to know. As it is, it's not good. I only give it two stars because the suction cup is really strong.

Inside Only Mount
By Yamamabad
I just got my first GoPro Hero3 last month, and let me tell you, I have tried more than a hand full of mounts, there is always a problem with one feature or another. This one is no exception. The swivel ball head is a must, the original GoPro mounts do NOT utilize this key feature, but this mount has a poor suction. It will do for inside your vehicle only. Some of the other brands have suctions that are very tough to remove without undoing the vacuum. Use this one only on the most non porous surfaces. Yes, I understand that the item does say 'Windshield & Dash' mount, but versatility is helpful, especially when trying to mount a camera to capture some decent imagery. There are other mounts for only a couple of dollars more that have the best suction possible. For instance the 'Fat Gecko Mini Camera and Camcorder Mount' has the same suction as the GoPro suction mount, a must, but it isn't made for the GoPro, so you'll need the swivel ball adapter to get it to mount, which is another $9.00. Yeah, it adds up, but if you consider how much the GoPro attachments are it's comparable. On the plus side, it is smaller than other suction mounts so if you are trying to get right in the corner of your window you will be able to jam this one further in between the dash and your windshield then you will other mounts.

AAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHH
By Chris
Don't any of these people own a CAR?
Have you morons tried mounting your camera on the inside of the windshield so it can see outside?
This mount is great for filming yourself driving but it is garbage for looking forward.
I have the LCD touch screen back, the upside down control for filming also doesn't work for the LCD, so if the image is being recorded right side up then the screen is the wrong way up. They need to actually use their products the way normal people do. In the industry it's called "Drinking your own Kool Aid".
They need a mount that attaches to the only thing that is reliable for a suction mount in a car and then points the camera right side up at the windshield without needing a jar full of different mounting parts which then make the mount too flexible.
Amateurs!
