Good price for radio and vehicle kit.

Bought this radio to replace the now faulty Sirius radio that has been in my truck for 7 years..This radio comes with vehicle kit and is ready to install..Plugged it in, called Sirius to activate and now all is up and running.

Poor radio or poor XM?

Ok to start off my wife has XM radio that came with her 2012 Chevy Sonic, the sound quality sounds decent. So I decide I want it in my Mazda that requires you to get the factory upgrade if you want XM but I rather not pay that much so I got this unit instead. I have it connected to the AUX jack and the antenna running out the passenger door currently and all I can say is I can barely stand to listen to it! Sometimes it sounds like my speakers are blown no matter the volume( lots of distortion and cracking) other times it just has an echoing effect. Not really sure what to do about this, I really dislike listening to the radio, but this just drives me nuts!

Deciding on satellite radio.

Years ago i bought my husband an XM radio for his car that he had professionally installed. He listened to nothing else. When my car came with Sirius & a free 6 month trial. I couldn't let it go so I added my subscription at an annual discount. I also listened to it on my computers. Then my son bought me the home radio. I have it in the dining room, nowhere near a window and the sound is amazing! I have JBL Creature speakers that I had used with my laptop. I really don't know what I'd listen to without satellite radio. I use it for dedicated music stations, local, national &interational news, sports, traffic…just everything. I love it. It's commercial free. With 3 radios, it is not inexpensive but it also depends on the plan that you pick, much like cable tv. I think it's cheaper if you pay quarterly or annually rather than monthly. It's about $200 a year for the first radio & less for each additional one. The speakers for in home make a huge difference in your sound quality. I hope this helps.
