Better Than Advertised With Auto-Reverse Too.
By Jack Beggs
A common issue with these types of audio cassette adapters involves cassette decks with Auto Reverse that can't be turned off. Some just won't work in them. This particular model is the latest and only one shown at the Philips website. Philips does not state whether this model will work in auto reverse cassettes. It just says that this model MAY NOT work properly in auto reverse cassettes. In addition, the back of the package says that it's not recommended for use in vehicles with AC Delco radios.

But this model is rated among the best so I just had to give it a try.

I can report that this SPECIFIC model works GREAT in my 1999 Pontiac Firebird factory stereo auto reverse cassette deck. And the auto-reverse cannot be turned off. GM never even offered a CD player for the 1999 generation of Firebirds. But pop this baby in with an MP3 player and who needs Tapes or CD's??

I can't certify that this adapter will work in all or most auto-reverse cassettes or those from AC Delco. But you might want to give it a try. I'm glad I did.

Works Great in my 1995 Car with my Shuffle
By Reading Mother
I bought an older (1995) model volvo with the original radio/cassette player intact. It's in great shape, good speakers, so I felt reluctant to install a new CD player, as I like that that this car is intact with all the original accessories. I'm a purist. Someone told me about getting a MP3/CD cassette adaptor, and it sounded promising. I did research, discovered that Philips makes a good product in this regard. I bought mine for short money at a local big box discount store. It was so easy. Popped the cassette in, and hooked up my iPod shuffle, and lovely, clear music came pouring out. Easy and very inexpensive fix. I'm very happy.

best quality sound, without a doubt
By theutopianking
I've bought around 10 different cassette adapters in my life. This one is by far the best sound quality. I've had to re-balance my ipod to adjust to it's strong bass and clear treble. I bought another for my girlfriend and she loves it.
