Perfect Replacement

This replacement key shell worked like a charm. Seems to be of equal weight/quality to oem key. The key case has the Honda emblem and a spot inside for the transponder chip. The local Honda dealership cut the key for free and I simply swapped the keyless entry module and the transponder chip. Painless.

Just what I needed!

This key "shell" was perfect. I was able to take the electronics from inside my old key & place them in this shell with no problem. It was nice that they included the little screw driver needed for the job. I did have to rip up my old key a bit to get the "chip" out of it. Had to do a bit of leg work to find a locksmith that was willing & had the proper machine to copy my old key & cut this one. It cost somewhere around $45-$50 to have it cut. Not bad considering the dealership wanted around $200 to replace the key! The dealership insisted that I would need the new key reprogrammed no matter what, not so if you keep the "chip" from your old key. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a replacement key IF the insides from their old key are still usable. Make Sure your original key has this on the back: FCC ID:OUCG8D-380H-A IC:850G-G8D380HA. Otherwise, it will not be an exact match and may not work for you!

Excatly what I needed for my '03 Accord.

This is almost an identical copy of the OEM key from my 2003 Honda Accord. The plastic housing has a slot for the RFID chip and the keyless entry button/battery pack from the original key fits well. Forget about moving the metal key from the original key to this new housing. The metal key itself is molded into the plastic. So don't you will need Honda to cut the new metal key. Don't forget to move the little tiny RFID chip from your old key to the new one or your key will be unable to start your car. You may have to mangle the plastic in your old key to get the RFID chip out. This is built of better quality than I expected. I am satisfied with my purchase.
