wife loves it
By Jay
This MP3 player works great.
I got this for my wife who has only FM in her car. Darn Ford.
Anyway, i used a simple 4GB SDHC, she put her songs on it from her PC,
Plug into lighter socket, set FM freq, use remote to push play and forward etc.
For the price there is nothing to complain about whatsoever.

Was EXACTLY what I was looking for!
By Cliff Woerner
My Experience:

I was looking for something I could listen to my music playlist in my car, as my CD player doesn't work. I wanted an FM tuner that took a line in via a headphone jack (as most all of them I had seen until now worked only with an iPod, and I don't use one of them). I saw a bunch of them, and decided that this one was the best price with the features I was looking for.

When it arrived, I thought I would be disappointed. The plastic casing is not very durable, and I was worried that I had gone TOO cheap. When I had plugged it in, and tuned it to the station, things seemed well. When I played my music, though, It sounded like I only had the right channel (or left). I thought it was my cable (the provided cable it too short for me). However, I found that the internal component moved when I plugged into the jack, and was unable to be pushed all the way in! However, in about 5 min, I had opened it up, made a slight adjustment, and all has been well since! The thumb-drive slot worked great, and though I haven't yet tested the SD card slot, I don't see why that would have any issues. The sound quality is excellent! You have a wide range of stations you can tune to (more than even some car stereos will go to), and if you are getting static, simply tune to another station. Also, if you use the line in option (headphone jack), make sure the volume of your device is set lower, and use the car stereo volume. You will have to test it to optimize your sound.

It did come with a remote, but as the unit is close enough to reach, I have no real use for the remote. Some people might. And as I mentioned, the cord that was provided for line in was very short, but this might suit someone's needs just fine.

So, here are the PROs and CONs for this device from my experience:

CONs:
- Casing feels very cheap, and doesn't seem durable
- Had to make an adjustment to get the line in to function correctly (might have just been my unit)

PROs:
- Multiple options for music input
- Excellent sound quality
- All inputs work (again, after small adjustment, might have been my unit)
- Wide range of stations to choose from
- Easy to operate

For me, the PROs far outweigh the cons, and I would recommend this to anyone looking. As I said, I've only had it for a few days (a week at the most), and have used it virtually every day with no issues. So long as you take care of it, there should be no issues. If something does go awry, I will update my review. As of now, I couldn't be more happy with it.

Update:

The unit still transmits music without a problem. Though, if it plays from a USB port, you do have to turn the volume up on your own stereo louder than you normally would. Also, the buttons kind of fell apart, and I never pushed them hard at all. I managed to fix it with some tape, but I was a bit annoyed about that. Only other thing I noticed was the shuffle feature. If you are putting your music on shuffle, if you hit the skip button, it will skip to the next song in the order it is on the USB drive. Once that song finishes playing, it will START OVER at the BEGINNING of the "shuffled" list (almost that it builds a list when shuffle is selected, and remembers that "shuffled" order). It isn't a true random order, like you would get in iTunes or any other music program.

However, even with those nuances, I am still pleased overall with this little transmitter.

August Transmitter is a decent product
By David W. Vilcherrez Jr.
The product is easy to use in the car, and comes with everything that was supposed to come with in the packaging. The only thing I needed to buy was the flash drive, and it works perfectly fine. The only thing I didn;t like was that I could not go back after I selected a song, it only had a forward option that worked.
